Bon Voyage!

Tonight I leave for a 5 week trip touring across Europe. I’ll be performing with three different groups: my own New Fracture Quartet; Gebhard Ullmann’s Basement Research; and Ken Vandermark’s Resonance Project. If you live, or know anybody, who lives in or near any of these cities (see below) send them out! Au Revoir!!

Klang Cd Release Party

Klang will celebrate the release of our new recording: “Tea Music” on Wednesday September 23rd at the Hideout: 1354W Wabansia Ave. Come on out and celebrate with us! We hit at 10pm

Ben Ratliff of the New York Times has written: “the band plays music that’s controlled on the surface and wriggling inside: tight, cruising arrangements of thoughtful and stylish music, with vibraphone shimmers and Mr. Falzone’s handsome tone over bass and drums that rumble freely, without fixed rhythm, but never make a big deal out of it.The band is having everything at once, of course: structure and freedom, tunes and the open imagination”

Klang is: James Falzone:clarinet Jason Adaisewicz:vibraphone Jason Roebke:bass Tim Daisy:drums
